What Benefits Does The Newly Passed Bill Offer To Your Elder Ones?

Amidst the hustle and bustle to have a secure career and create a better future for the next generation, we often forget to take care of the ones who raised us. With the fast-moving professional world, it becomes difficult to spend quality time with our aged parents while keeping up to the ‘rat-race’. Also, giving in to the fact that most of us are willing to leave our country and settle abroad for a pocket satisfying CTC, it skips our mind to think about the aged parents who would have to spend the rest of their life alone and all by themselves.

Living alone can have several consequences, such as having problems with daily chores, restricted mobility, a requirement for emergency hospitalization, etc. Keeping such scenarios and the need for elderly care in mind, the Union Cabinet goes on to approving the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Bill or Amendment of 2019.

This 2019 bill was proposed to bring in minor changes in an attempt to enhance the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Bill that was passed in 2007.

The 2019 Bill
